This team of animators had just finished a big project and needed a way to unwind and get the team together in a novel way. Hearing all the laughter is one of the best parts of this job. Thank you for having us Kong.
How often do you connect with your playful side alongside your colleagues? In my case, very rarely! Towards the end of production on Quentin Blake's Box of Treasures, we had a random opportunity to attend a #LaughingYoga session (yes, it's a real thing!) with Sally Dixey of Gaia Fitness Collective . The intention was to boost our mental health after a long production.
I was proud of the Kong Animation Studio crew (and myself) for embracing something that was well out of all our comfort zones. It proved to be a great team bonding session and the sheer bonkersness of it, along with the smiling faces and manic laughter will forever be tattooed on my brain. I mean that in a good way.

Sally - that was brilliant - we need a way to do more of this comedy, laughing, psychology and therapy :) Thank you.

Not many participants had seen or heard of Laughter Therapy so was a blast showing them how to laugh for laughing sake and dipping into their deep belly laughs for maximum feel good benefits.
Something you might not expect at a laughter session are the highs of laughing paired with meditation. It certainly surprised participants as they relaxed and laughed their way to a peaceful and calm state of mind.
